Types

Settings

The values you set directly on a node, and how Studio lets you edit them.

On/off

Yes or no. Type true or false.

In Studio. Click the field and type true or false.

Integer

A whole number. Drag the field to change it, or type a value.

Limits. Each node checks its own range. A seed can be very large; a count usually has to be positive.

Real

A number with decimals. Drag the field to change it, or type a value.

Limits. There is no general range: chances go from 0 to 1, tilts from 0 to 90 degrees, and offsets can be negative. Each node checks its own.

Text

A piece of text, like a name or a tag.

Blank. Whether an empty value is allowed depends on the setting. For colours, blank means inherit.

Choice

One option from a fixed list. Click the arrows to go through them.

Saved by name. The choice is saved by a fixed name, so translations and wording changes never break a project.

Vector

Three numbers, X, Y and Z. Type them separated by commas, like 1, 0, -2.

Curve

A line through points that maps one number to another. Edit it in Studio's curve editor.

Editing. Drag points, double-click to add one, and use the presets. A curve has 2 to 64 points, each to the right of the one before.

Past the ends. Before the first point and after the last, the curve stays flat at the end value.

Numbers

A list of increasing numbers, like band edges. Type them separated by commas.

Rules. 2 to 64 numbers, each bigger than the one before. Material by Density Bands needs one more edge than it has materials.

Block

A Minecraft block, picked from a searchable list.

Biome

A Minecraft biome, picked from a searchable list. It sets the starting looks and what the game sees, not the terrain.

Colour

A colour, picked with the colour picker or typed as #RRGGBB. Blank inherits.
