What it does
Turn winding noise into ridges by folding its negative values upwards. Values near zero stay low, so the lines where the noise changes sign become narrow troughs.
Try 3D noise in Input, then lower the result with Offset. Combine it with your terrain through Minimum to open passages along those troughs.
Shape
What comes out for each value that goes in, computed by the real engine. Above the orange line is solid ground.
Input unchanged
On noise
The standard noise stretched to run from -1 to 1, before and after this node. First along one line, then seen from above.

Inputs and outputs
| Name | Type | Default | What it changes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inputs | |||
| Input | Density | The density whose negative values you want to fold upwards. | |
| Output | |||
| Output | Density | The input with every negative value made positive. | |
Good to know
Check the sign before carving
Keep the result negative where you want air. A positive offset closes the troughs instead of opening them.
